The Wenzel family have been making wine in the Burgenland region of Austria since 1647. He started his Wild & Free range to experiment with skin contact and the results have been amazing.
Organic grapes (uncertified) were hand harvested and crushed before a 7 day period of maceration. Then fermented with indigenous yeast and then bottled with no filtration, fining or added sulphur.
Lockvogel, meaning decoy or deceive, is a natural orange wine with fresh and floral aromas of rose, lychee and pink grapefruit, a wine with precision and finesses.
